It’s ‘Not Made In Heaven’ ….
May 10: We are used to hear the old-saying “Marriages are made in heaven’, well we don’t want any argument over it. But some unusual things and happenings in our day-to-day life compels us to ponder over. Something like this has happened in Madhya Pradesh’s Ujjain on last Sunday.
This is no way a Bollywood story, nor any Comedy of Errors of any Shakespearean Play. This is a real incident. Two sisters were getting married in Madhya Pradesh’s Ujjain and things got mixed up a little due to a power failure. In the dark, the brides performed Barmaala ceremony with her sister’s groom.
According to sources, Rameshlal’s two daughters, Nikita and Karishma were getting married to Dangwara Bhola and Ganesh, two youths from different families. Since the brides were in veils and the clothes of the grooms were of similar kind, no one came to know about the mix-up during the time of the wedding rituals.
The wedding priest also got the grooms to do holy rounds with the ‘altered’ brides. The mix-up was realised when the grooms took their brides home.
Following a brief dispute, both the pairs of bride and groom were asked to perform the ceremony afresh the next day and settled for man & wife for the rest of their life.
