Nashik Police: Consent Should Be Taken To Play Religious Songs On Loudspeakers
Nashik, April 18: To maintain law and order, the Nashik police commissioner, Deepak Pandey on Monday directed that permission should be taken to play Hanuman Chalisa or Bhajan on loudspeakers.
The decision was taken amidst the ongoing row over the use of loud speaker in mosque in Maharashtra. All religious places will have to get permission to use loudspeakers by May 3.
The Commissioner further said permission would not be granted within 15 minutes before and after the call to prayer. Not only that, Hanuman Chalisa will not be allowed to be played within 100 meters of the mosque.
Notably, MNS leader Raj Thackeray has given an ultimatum to remove loudspeakers on Mosque till May 3.
