Senior BJP leader Tula Uma resigns, joins BRS party in Telangana

Hyderabad, Nov 13 : On Monday, senior BJP leader Tula Uma officially announced her resignation from the party and joined the BRS party in a ceremony attended by BRS working president K T Rama Rao (KTR) at Telangana Bhavan.

KTR warmly welcomed Tula Uma into the BRS party by draping her with a scarf.

Addressing the gathering, KTR expressed regret over the treatment Tula Uma received from the BJP, particularly emphasizing the disparity in the party’s decision to grant her a ticket to contest in the Vemulawada assembly constituency. KTR assured Tula Uma of a higher status and increased responsibilities within the party, emphasizing the significance of her contributions to the development of the Vemulawada constituency and the empowerment of women in the state.
