Maha Govt Orders Probe Into Sudden Death Of Cruiser Raid Witness Prabhakar Sail
Mumbai, April 2: The matter related to raids conducted by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on Cordelia Cruise ship last October involving superstar Shahrukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan took another turn on Saturday, as the Maharashtra government ordered a probe into the sudden death of Prabhakar Sail, a key witness in the case due to a suspected heart attack.
Home Minister Dilip Walse-Patil directed Mumbai Police to investigate the matter, after doubts were raised over Sail’s death. According to his lawyer Tushar Khandare, 40-year-old Sail had reportedly suffered a cardiac arrest at his home in Mahul area of city suburb. His aged mother Hiravati Sail told media persons that her son had been incommunicado for the past few days and leaves behind two minor daughters.
Earlier this morning, the ruling ally Nationalist Congress Party and the Opposition Bharatiya Janata Party raised questions on the witness’ death that stunned political circles on the auspicious Gudi Padwa Day (Maharashtrian New Year). UNI
