Naveen Inaugurates Apollo Cancer Care Centre At Bhubaneswar
Bhubaneswar, April 1: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Friday inaugurated the Apollo Cancer Centre at Bhubaneswar built over 50,000 sq feet area at a cost of over 400 Crore.
Dinesh Madhavan, President, Group Oncology and International Apollo Hospital Enterprise Ltd said the centre is equipped with cutting edge linear Accelerator (HD True beam Stx) technology and internationally acclaimed oncologists in all specialities to provide best cancer treatment to the patients at Bhubaneswar.
The True beam Stx is the most advanced Linear Accellerator radiation machine which offers the most precise radiation therapy treatment for a better treatment, he said. The centre has 17 dedicated beds for chemotherapy. It is a major referral centre for Odisha and neighbouring states of Bihar, Jharkhand, Chhatisgarha and parts of West Bengal. Madhavan said they have planned to start robotic surgery in Odisha in next two months. He urged the lawmakers of Odisha to make cancer a notified disease Apollo Hospital Enterprise Ltd Executive Vice Chairperson Preethi Reddy said they are committed to provide best in class advanced cancer care at the Bhubaneswar cancer care centre.
