Ready To Facilitate Resolution Of Ukrainian Crisis: Erdogan
Ankara, March 6: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan told Russian President Vladimir Putin in a phone call on Sunday that Ankara was ready to facilitate the peaceful resolution of the conflict in Ukraine, the Turkish Presidency said.
“During the talks, President Erdogan stated that Turkey is ready to facilitate the resolution of the Ukrainian issue by peaceful methods as soon as possible,” Erdogan’s office said in a statement.
The Turkish leader stressed the importance of urgent measures to introduce ceasefire, open humanitarian corridors and sign a peace agreement to reduce humanitarian issues in Ukraine and ensure a political solution. “Asserting his constant contact with the Ukrainian side and other countries, President Erdogan said that he will continue his efforts to conduct comprehensive negotiations and achieve results,” the statement read.
