Anil Deshmukh’s Sons Summoned In Rs. 100 Cr. Corruption Case
Mumbai, Feb 4: A special PMLA court here on Friday directed the sons of ex-Home Minister Anil Deshmukh to appear in the money laundering case filed against their father.
In its charge-sheet, the Enforcement Directorate has stated that Deshmukh took undue advantage of the positions he held since 1992 and amassed crores of rupees in this process.
Subsequently, the wrongfully-accrued money was invested in 13 companies in which Deshmukh’s sons, Hrishikesh and Salil, hold several top posts. The ED has also named the duo as co-accused in Rs. 100 crore corruption case against their father, which cost senior Deshmukh his Home Minister’s post.
In the same regard, the court asked both the sons to appear before it on April 5.
