Bhubaneswar: In an all party meeting called by State Election Commission (SEC), Odisha, it has been affirmed that fresh guidelines will be published for smooth conduction of panchayat polls amid the Covid-19 pandemic.
State Election Commissioner Aditya Prasad Padhi said that the guidelines are to be prepared in line with the guidelines issued by the Election Commission of India (ECI).
Representatives of all political parties opined on whether the panchayat elections are to be held or not in view of the present Covid-19 situation.
