Nagpur, Jan 4: Former Maharashtra Minister Anees Ahmed on Tuesday demanded the immediate arrest of the main culprit in connection with a “Bulli Bai ” app in which photos of Muslim women have been uploaded as if they were to be auctioned.
Ahmed said in a statement that there was outrage in the Muslim community over the App. Muslim women with a strong presence on Twitter, including journalists, have been singled out and their photos uploaded.
The Congress leader said he had taken up the matter with President Ramnath Kovind, Home Minister Amit Shah and others in Maharashtra.
He said the App had been floated for trolling and harassing the victims.
The app appeared to be a clone of Sulli Deals, which triggered a similar row last year, he said.
