Odisha New Year Bonanza: Over 8000 Junior Teachers Regularized In Odisha
Bhubaneswar: The employment of as many as 8102 contractual junior teachers have been regularized in Odisha on New Year 2022, informed Minister of Mass Education Sameer Ranjan Dash.
Reportedly, after Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik made relaxation in the age limit, as many as 40,052 teachers have been promoted.
Minister Dash said that the 2015 junior teachers’ batch have been regularized and all the 8,102 junior teachers will benefit in the State. “A notification in this regard will be issued today,” he added.
It is to be noted that on Friday Odisha government approved the proposal to provide grant-in-aid as per the 7th Pay Commission scale to the eligible staff in new-aided non-government High Schools, Upper Primary Schools, Madrasas, and colleges.
According to an official statement, about 26164 teaching and non-teaching employees of the New-Aided Non-Government High Schools, UP(ME) Schools and Madrasas who are in receipt of 100% Grant-in-Aid will be benefited from such enhancement.
The new hike in salary will be effective from today in which around 26,000 school teachers and 16,664 college teachers will be benefitted. The salary hike will reportedly cost the State exchequer an additional Rs 126 crore.
