Sourav Ganguly Discharged From Hospital, To Remain In Home Isolation
Kolkata, Dec 31: Indian cricket board president Sourav Ganguly, who tested Covid-19 positive on Monday, was discharged from a city hospital on Friday after testing negative for the Omicron variant of the virus.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) chief was released from the Woodlands hospital in south Kolkata after undergoing treatment for Covid-19 for the past five days.
The 49-year-old former Team India captain would, however, remain in home isolation as per medical advice
Ahead of his discharge, Ganguly’s genome sequencing result showed he has not contracted Omicron, the hospital sources said.
Ganguly was earlier administered Monoclonal Antibody Cocktail therapy after he was admitted to the hospital with mild symptoms of the coronavirus.
