Two deadly bowlers joined the Australian team for the second test, one has a connection with Phillip Hughes.
India vs Australia 2nd Test: The second match of Border-Gavaskar Trophy between India and Australia will be played on 6 December. This will be a day-night test match, which will be played at Adelaide Oval. But due to injury, Australian fast bowler Josh Hazlewood is out and in his place, Sean Abbott and Brendan Doggett have got a chance in the Australian Test team. Abbott has previously played ODI and T20 for Australia, but Doggett has not yet made his debut in international cricket.
1. Sean Abbott
32-year-old Sean Abbott has so far taken a total of 29 wickets in 26 ODI matches for Australia. He has taken a total of 26 wickets in 20 T20 International matches. Apart from this, his record in domestic cricket is good, where he has 261 first class wickets in his name. Even though he has not yet got a chance to make his Test debut, he has been successful in impressing in ODIs and T20s. He has also played for RCB and Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL.
In 2014, Australia’s promising cricketer Phillip Hughes died after being hit by a ball during a match in the Sheffield Shield tournament. Sean Abbott was bowling then. His ball hit Hughes on the lower part of the neck, after which he was taken to the hospital. Where the doctors declared him dead.
2. Brendan Doggett
Brendan Doggett has been included in the Test for the second time. Earlier in the year 2018, he had traveled to UAE for the Test series against Pakistan. 32-year-old Doggett has taken a total of 142 wickets in 40 first class matches so far. There are 23 wickets in his name in the list.
Difficult to get a chance in playing eleven
Even though Brendan Doggett and Sean Abbott have been included in the Australian team for the second test, it is difficult for both of them to play in the playing eleven. Because Australia already has Scott Boland. Mitchell Starc will be seen leading the fast bowling attack for Australia. Captain Pat Cummins is present in the team to support him.
