Major IPS Reshuffle In Odisha; 49 IPS Have Been Transferred

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has made major changes in IPS level yesterday. 49 IPS have been transferred from one place to another while 5 OPS have been given district charge. According to the published notification, senior IPS Arun Kumar Roy has been posted as Jail DG. Home Department OSDSM Narwane has been posted as Director of Printing Stationary and Publications. SCRB (State Crime Records Bureau) director Vinaytosh Mishra has been replaced as ADG, CID Crime Branch and RP Koche, ADG of Armed Police, has been replaced as director of crime. ADG Police Headquarters Radha Kishan Sharma has been posted as Special Secretary Home Department, Director of Police Soumendra Priyadarshi as ADG Modernization.

Twin City Police Commissioner Sanjeev Panda has been transferred as Director of Biju Patnaik Police Training Institute and Bhubaneswar DCP Prateek Singh as Cuttack Rural SP. ADG Operations Suresh Devdatta Singh has been posted as the new Police Commissioner of twin city and Puri SP Pinak Mishra as the new DCP of Bhubaneswar. Special Secretary Home Department Santosh Bala has been transferred as SCRB and SFSL (State Forensic Laboratory) Director, Crime Branch ADG Arun Bothra as Railways and Coast Guard ADG. Accordingly, Meyal Gangwal, who was working as ADGP, Police Modernization, has been transferred to the police headquarters, while Rajesh Kumar, who is the ADGP of Railways and Coastal, has been transferred as the ADGP of Special Armed Police. Similarly, S. Saini, IG of Biju Patnaik Police Academy, has been posted as CAW and CW IG and Central IG Sanjay Kumar Kaushal has been posted as Vigilance IG.

Accordingly, Eastern IG Deepak Kumar has been transferred as IG Fire and Home Guard, while EOW and STF IG Jai Narayan Pankaj has been given the new charge as IG Operations. Guinda IG Anup Sahu has been transferred as IG Biju Patnaik Police Training Institute. Khurda SP Avinash Kumar has been posted as DIG of Special Armed Forces, Berhampur SP Sarthak Sarangi as DIG South. Western DG Neeti Shekhar has been transferred as Koraput South-West DG. Angul SP Umashkar Dash has been posted as Additional Commissioner of Police, twincity, Cuttack DCP Prakash R as DIG Crime Branch. Satyajit Nayak in HRPC has been posted as DIG Eastern, while Akhileshwar Singh, who has returned from central deputation, has been posted as DIG Operations. Rourkela SP Brijesh Kumar Ray has been transferred as West DIG, South-East DIG Charan Singh Meena as Central DIG, Panul Gupta who has returned from deputation as Computer DIG.

Dhenkanal SP M. Sandeep Sampat has been transferred as Bhadrak SP, Deogarh SP Anupama James as Vigilance SP, Jagatsinghpur SP Rahul PR as Vigilance SP, Ganjam SP Jagmohan Meena as Cuttack DCP. Cuttack SP L Divya Vigilance SP, Nayagarh SP Rahul Jain Anugol SP, Vigilance SP Doctor S. Vivek M has been transferred as Berhampur SP, Bhadrak SP Barun Guntupalli as Mayurbhanj SP, Jajpur SP Vineet Agarwal as Puri SP, Balasore SP Sagarika Nath as Khurda SP. Mayurbhanj SP Sushri has been transferred to Nyagarh SP, Gajapati SP Swati S Kumar to Rayagada, Malkangiri SP Thibal Nitesh Wadhani has been transferred to Rourkela. Boudh SP Raj Prasad has been posted as Balasore SP, AIG Nagaraj Debarkonda as Boudh SP, Kandhamal SP Shudhendu Kumar Patra as Ganjam SP, Nabarangpur SP Rohit Verma as Koraput, Sonepur SP Yash Pratap Shrimal as Jajpur SP.

Similarly, Abinav Sonkar, who was the Koraput SP, has been posted as the Dhenkanal SP, Rayagada SP Harish BC has been posted as the Kandhamal SP. Bhubaneswar-Cuttack Police Commissionerate, OPS Officer Anil Kumar Mishra as SP Deogarh, OPS Ram Prasad Sahu as Sonepur SP, Dhenkanal IUCAW Additional SP Bhavani Shankar Udgata as Jagatsinghpur SP, Mihir Panda as Nabarangpur SP, OPS Officer Yathindra as Senior Administrator (Security) of Puri Sreejagannath Temple Jatindra Kumar Panda has been transferred as Gajapati District SP.
