Dhenkanal: Ranger Bibhudananda Mishra of Dhenkanal Sadar ranger arrested. Vigilance arrested him today on the charge of taking assets outside of income. In addition, a case has been registered against him under the (Wild Life Protection) WLP Act, 1972 for keeping wild animals in captivity.
However, on Wednesday, the team raiding with 7 DSPs, 1 Assistant Commandant, 6 Inspectors, 6 ASIs, and other officers of Odisha Vigilance on the basis of the allegations of misappropriation of assets in the name of Ranger Bibhudananda Mishra.
After the raid, Bibhudanand’s one flat in Bhubaneswar, 2 flats in Hyderabad, 8 plots in Bhubaneswar and Dhenkanal, a farm house worth Rs 2 crore in Athagarh, bank deposits of more than Rs 1 crore, cash of Rs 5.15 lakh and 557 grams of gold jewellery have also been seized by Vigilance.
