SCB Rape Case: Departmental Team Reached The Spot To Investigate

Cuttack: The SCB rape case is currently the most debated topic of the state. The team of the health department arrived to investigate the incident of mistreatment of patients in the hospital.

After yesterday’s order of investigation, team reached the spot today and started the investigation. The committee consists of DMET Roma Ratan and SCB Superintendent Sudhansu Mishra in a 3-member team chaired by DMET Satish Mishra.

The team reached the medical college and conducted an investigation and discussed with SCB Superintendent and SCB Medical College Dean Principal. The team said that after the information of the investigation committee, he will be informed whether he will be suspended or not.

The preliminary report will be submitted to the government. The head of cardiology department, professors and all the staff present will be asked. Whether the SOP has been followed or not will be assessed. DMET Professor Dr. Santosh Kumar Mishra has informed about the preparation of protocols so that such incidents do not recur in the coming days.

A PG second year medical student brought his mother and sister for treatment to Cuttack General Hospital cardiology department last Sunday. Both had heart attacks. As it was a holiday, the department was kind of empty. Dr. Dilbar Singh Thakur took them to the echo room. Dilbar allegedly misbehaved during their examination when no other staff member was present. Dr. Dilbar Singh Thakur has been arrested for allegedly molesting two women in SCB Medical College premises. The police arrested him and took him to court.
