Clash Erupts in Bhubaneswar Outskirts as Rival Groups Engage in Violent Confrontation
Bhubaneswar: The peaceful atmosphere of Jagamara street, situated under Khandagiri police limits on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar, turned into a battlefield on Tuesday night. Two rival groups, armed with deadly weapons, engaged in a violent confrontation, reportedly vying for control over the area.
The clash resulted in several youths sustaining injuries, with some in critical condition, as swords, machetes, bhujalis, and other weapons were wielded during the confrontation. The injured individuals have been promptly admitted to a local hospital for necessary medical treatment.
Reports suggest that the violent episode unfolded when eight youths from the Pandara area in Bhubaneswar visited a food stall in Jagamara late on Tuesday night. They were reportedly attacked by members of another group, sparking a brutal clash. Locals and passersby also found themselves caught in the crossfire, sustaining injuries and triggering fear among residents in the area.
