New Delhi, Oct 6 : Enforcement Directorate (ED) has summoned two associates of Aam Aadmi Party leader and MP Sanjay Singh for questioning in connection with the (now scrapped) Delhi excise policy case.
One of them, Sarvesh Mishra, appeared at the ED office in Delhi on Friday.
When Mishra was going towards the ED office, he replied to the queries of media persons and said “Truth will triumph”.
These two persons have been summoned to join the on-going investigation in connection with Delhi excise policy linked money laundering case, sources said.
As per sources, the probe agency will record their statements regarding this case. ED will confront them with Sanjay Singh who is currently in the probe agency’s custody.
Yesterday, Sanjay Singh was sent to ED remand till October 10 in connection with the Delhi excise policy case. He was taken into custody on Wednesday after over 10 hours of questioning at his residence in Delhi.
While visiting the Ghazipur Landfill site in East Delhi on Friday (Oct 6), Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said the entire liquor scam is “fake”. “They (Probe agencies) don’t have any proof of even a single penny. First said bus scam, classroom scam, electricity, water and road scams and all the investigations were done but found nothing,” he replied to the queries of media persons.
Taking a dig at BJP, Kejriwal said their intentions are bad. “If nothing comes out of the liquor scam after a few days, then they will bring something new. Their intentions are bad, they don’t want to let us work,” alleged Kejriwal.
