Bhubaneswar, Jul 10 : A tragic incident took place at Kalpana Square Covid-19 checkpoint during shutdown. The drunk driver hit Havildar on the head. Habildar Ranjan Pradhan’s condition is critical as he was hit by an auto while checking at Kalpana Square. The injured was taken to Capital Hospital and then to the AIIMS.
The Havildar tried to stop the drunk driver from rushing while checking was in transit. But the driver was restlessly trying to leave the spot and inturn hit the Havildar.
In the capital, however, traffic checking is being tightened. Fines are also being charged if drivers don’t abide to the Covid restrictions.
