Babar-Masood made a historic record with the partnership of 205 runs, did such a miracle for Pakistan for the first time
Shan Masood-Babar Azam Opening Partnership: South Africa scored 615 runs in the first innings against Pakistan. After which the Pakistani team could score only 194 runs in the first innings and was forced to play follow-on. But in the second innings, Pakistani batsmen came out to bat with a different intention. Shan Masood and Babar Azam batted like that, what about South Africa? Nobody expected it. While opening, both the batsmen made a partnership of 205 runs. It is because of the partnership of these players that the Pakistani team has been successful in overcoming the crisis to a great extent. Pakistan has so far scored 213 runs at the loss of one wicket and is behind by 208 runs.
Babar Azam and Shan Masood created a stir
Shan Masood and Babar Azam have batted amazingly for South Africa in the second innings. Both the players came to open for the Pakistani team and settled at the crease from the very beginning. Shaan and Babar have created history by making a partnership of 205 runs. This is the first Pakistani opening pair to have made a partnership of 200 plus runs in Test cricket in South Africa. Before these two, no Pakistani opening pair had been able to do this. Aamir Sohail and Saeed Anwar had made a partnership of 101 runs while opening in South Africa in the year 1998. Now this record has been left far behind.

Earlier, the biggest partnership for any wicket for Pakistan while playing follow-on was in the names of Hanif Mohammad and Saeed Anwar. Both these players had made a partnership of 154 runs while playing follow-on against West Indies in the year 1958. Now this record has been overtaken by the pair of Shaan Masdu and Babar Azam. Shaan is currently present at the crease after scoring 102 runs. Whereas Babar had scored 81 runs.
