Jajpur: Attack on Former MLA Pranab Balawantray. Pranab was stopped and attacked allegedly by the supporters of the present Dharmasala MLA Himanshu Sekhar Sahoo while he was going in his car to attend a religious ceremony of Maa Hingula. In one of the viral videos, one of the miscreants can be seen hitting the former legislator’s vehicle with a wooden stick that damaged the four-wheeler.
BJD Supremo Naveen Patnaik condemned the attack on former Dharmasala MLA Pranab Balbantray. On his social media account X he wrote, “The open and organised attack on former MLA from Dharmasala and youth leader of Biju Janata Dal, Shri Pranab Balbantray, shows the disastrous law and order situation in the state,”.
“If public representatives are not safe in the state, then there is a huge question mark over the safety of the common people. The inaction, stubborn and one-sided attitude of the state government in stopping anti-social individuals and activities is further encouraging such incidents,” Naveen added.
