Berhampur, October 22 : New revelations are being made in the shooting incident of senior lawyer Pitavas Panda in Berhampur Baidyanathpur police station area of Ganjam. The investigation is ongoing. Berhampur District Superintendent of Police Shravan Vivek M said, “Twelve people have been arrested so far in this murder case.”
Since the case is serious and high-profile, a thorough investigation is underway. Superintendent of Police Shravan Vivek M said that some of the arrested persons are prima facie suspected to be the main culprits of the incident.
The police made the arrests based on the evidence recovered from the scene, intelligence information and investigation. Since more criminals are likely to be involved in this case, the investigation is ongoing.
SP Shravan Vivek M confirmed, “The case is serious, and as part of a well-planned operation, 12 people have been arrested so far. The search for other criminals involved in the incident is on. Whoever the culprit is, he will not be spared.”
