Yuvraj Singh held the record for the fastest half-century in T20I cricket for almost years. Yuvraj had made the record of scoring the fastest half-century in T20I against England in just 12 balls, which was broken by Nepal’s Deependra Singh Airi last year. Deependra achieved the feat of scoring the fastest T20I half-century in just 9 balls. Yuvraj Singh’s record of fastest T20I half-century may have been broken but whenever the fastest half-century is mentioned, Yuvi’s name comes to mind first. India’s powerful batsman Richa Ghosh has done something similar in the third T20I against West Indies.

Richa Ghosh scored a half-century against West Indies in just 18 balls. In this way, she equaled the world record of fastest half-century in 18 balls in women’s T20 international cricket. Before Richa Ghosh, New Zealand’s Sophie Devine and Australia’s Phoebe Litchfield had made the record of the fastest half-century. Both of them had achieved this big feat in 18-18 balls. Richa has now become the female cricketer to score the joint fastest T20 International half-century in women’s cricket.
