Bhubaneswar: On the third day of his three-day ‘Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra’, Senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi embarked on a padayatra from Jharsuguda Old Bus Stand Street at 8.00 am on Thursday. The yatra, aimed at uniting India and promoting justice, has been garnering significant attention as Rahul Gandhi traverses through various states, connecting with people from diverse backgrounds.
According to the schedule, Rahul Gandhi is slated to address the public at Kisan Street in Behramal after covering a distance of 1.7 km from Old Bus Stand Street. Later, he is expected to reach Lakhan Khanpur block in Gobindpur around noon, where he will take a rest at a guest house situated on National Highway No 49. The Congress leader will depart for Chhattisgarh in the evening, continuing his journey of engagement and outreach.
Amidst the enthusiastic crowds gathered along the route, numerous supporters, including women and children, patiently waited for hours to catch a glimpse of their leader during the padayatra. Travelling in an open Jeep, Rahul Gandhi warmly greeted everyone along the way, extending gestures of solidarity and camaraderie. Despite security measures, some supporters managed to breach the cordon, eager to interact with their leader up close.
Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra’ commenced in Manipur on January 14 and is set to conclude in Mumbai on March 20, covering a span of 13 states across the country. The yatra serves as a platform for Rahul Gandhi to connect with citizens from diverse backgrounds, listen to their grievances, and advocate for justice and unity across India’s social fabric.
