Pramod Kumar Mishra, Principal Secretary to PM Modi, Visits Jagannath Temple in Puri

Bhubaneswar: Pramod Kumar Mishra, the Principal Secretary to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, made a significant visit to the revered Jagannath temple in Puri on Friday night. His visit to the sacred site included prayers to the Trinity and discussions with officials regarding the Parikrama project, a notable endeavor aimed at enhancing the temple’s infrastructure and facilities for devotees.

During his darshan, Mishra engaged in discussions with temple officials, reviewing the progress of the Parikrama project and exchanging views with devotees present at the site. Accompanied by esteemed dignitaries including the Srimandir chief administrator, district collector, and superintendent of police, Mishra’s visit underscored the importance of ongoing efforts to bolster the temple’s amenities and preserve its cultural significance.

Following his prayers and discussions, Mishra was felicitated by the district administration as a token of appreciation for his visit. Additionally, he partook in the sacred Mahaprasad, further immersing himself in the spiritual ambiance of the temple.

In a statement to the media following his visit, Mishra expressed his satisfaction with the development initiatives undertaken at the Jagannath temple. He remarked, “I visited Jagannath temple after a long time. The temple has undergone major facelift over the years. Many developmental activities have been carried out for the convenience of devotees.” Mishra’s remarks highlight the dedication of authorities and stakeholders towards ensuring the continuous improvement and accessibility of the temple premises for devotees from all walks of life.
