Odisha Government Implements Significant Reshuffle in IAS Cadre
Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has executed a major reshuffle in the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) cadre, reassigning IAS officers from their current positions to new roles.
As per an official notification issued by the government, Ashish Thakare, who previously served as the Collector of Mayurbhanj district, has been appointed as the new Collector of Balasore. This significant move aims to optimize administrative efficiency and enhance governance in the region.
Conversely, Dattatraya Bhausaheb Shinde, the former Collector of Balasore, has been reassigned to serve as the Collector of Mayurbhanj. This reshuffling of responsibilities aims to leverage the expertise and experience of IAS officers in different districts to address local challenges effectively.
Furthermore, Bijay Kumar Dash, the incumbent Collector of Puri, has been appointed as the Commissioner of Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC). This decision reflects the government’s commitment to streamlining municipal governance and promoting urban development initiatives in Cuttack.
Likewise, Siddharth Shankar Swain, the current Commissioner of CMC, has been entrusted with the role of Puri Collector. This strategic placement of officers underscores the government’s emphasis on achieving administrative synergy and fostering development across various districts and urban centers.
