Feature: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik of Odisha has been voted as the most popular Chief Minister in his home state for the seventh consecutive time, according to the recent India Today Mood of the Nation survey. However, there has been a notable decline in his vote percentage, dropping from 61.3 per cent in August 2023 to 52.7 per cent, which may raise concerns for the ruling BJD as they prepare for upcoming Assembly and Lok Sabha elections.
Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath clinched the title of the most popular CM across India, securing 46.3 per cent of the respondents’ votes. He was followed by Arvind Kejriwal, who garnered 19.6 per cent of the votes, maintaining a substantial gap of 26.7 per cent between them.
In the survey, West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee was ranked third, while Naveen Patnaik was placed fifth in terms of popularity across India.

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma secured the third position in terms of popularity in his home state, with 48.6 per cent of the votes.
