Continuing Heavy Rains Causing Rivers To Bloom

Banki: Continuing Heavy rains in Odisha caused rivers to bloom. Now 5.78 lakh cusecs of flood water is flowing in Munduli. On the other hand, the SRC has alerted 10 district magistrates on seeing the rising water level of the river. 

Sambalpur, Nayagarh, Angul, Boudh, Puri, Khurda, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur and Kendrapara districts have been advised to stay alert and advised not to travel on flooded roads and poles.

As the water level in the river rises, the branch river rises on the other side. As a result, flooding has occurred in the lower areas of Banki. 

4 feet of flood water is flowing from Banki Bilipada to Talabasta road. Hectares of agricultural land are submerged in Bilipada area. As a result, people are facing a lot of problems. On the other hand, six more gates have been opened today due to heavy rains in the upper reaches. Now floodwater is flowing through 14 gates.

As per the situation it is advised by SRC to stay alert.
