Bhubaneswar: The High Court of Odisha ordered that the names of the army officers and his wife-to-be should not be published in any media.
However, the Bharatpur police station has ordered to start an investigation under the chairmanship of Justice Chittaranjan Das for judicial investigation of the incident. Along with this, a public interest case has also been filed in the High Court regarding the Bharatpur incident. The names of the victims and army officer have been banned from being published in the media. The court ordered not to publish their names in electronic, print and social media.
Along with this, the court has shown urgency after this incident went to court. The High Court has directed the ADG to report the CCTV status of all police stations in the state. He has asked for an answer whether CCTV is installed in all the police stations. The court has directed the ADG to reply as to how long it will take if not.
It has also ordered to implement ADG modernization. Along with this, the High Court refused to monitor the investigation of the case. The court said that the it is not necessary in this case.
