Cuttack: Additional Chief Engineer of Odisha Bridge and Construction Corporation (OBCC) Pradeep Kumar Rath has been arrested by the vigilance on the charge of evading undeclared assets. 1 kg of gold jewelry, 300 grams of silver jewelry, 1 crore 38 lakhs of deposits, valuable fixed and immovable property including 42 plots were seized. As the Cuttack Vigilance Team continues to raid 12 places, Rath’s wealth is set to increase. The vigilance officers are also surprised to see the property.
Odisha Bridge and Construction Corporation Additional Chief Engineer Pradeep Kumar Rath was placed under the vigilance scanner in the office of Chief Engineer, R&B (Cuttack Circle). Vigilance formed a special team of 9 DSPs, 11 inspectors and other employees on the basis of a search warrant issued by the Cuttack Vigilance Special Judge.
The team rode in 12 places in Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Bhadrak, Jajpur and Khordhar on Monday. His three-storied residential house in Satya Vihar, Rasulgarh, Bhubaneswar, apartment (B-2) in Chandrasekharpur, Bhubaneswar, one flat in Patrapada, two-storied building in Bhadrak town, office near Barabati Stadium, Cuttack, paternal house in Bhadrak Agarpada, another paternal house in Bhadrak. The raid did not stop here. The vigilance simultaneously searched the land in Jajpur, Khordha and Cuttack, the house of a close associate in Jajpur town, the residential house of a close associate in Shastri Nagar, Bhubaneswar, and his son’s medicine shop in Nayapalli Indradhanu Market, Bhubaneswar.
