Cuttack: Officials from the Odisha Health Department, assisted by local police, conducted a raid on the premises of Dr. Punyashlok Das in Friends Colony. The raid culminated in the arrest of Dr. Das on charges of conducting illegal sex determination tests on pregnant women, marking a significant crackdown on illicit practices within the medical community.
During the operation, authorities also rescued a female patient from the premises. Additionally, they seized incriminating evidence, including abortion pills, an ultrasound machine, and a substantial sum of cash. These findings underscore the severity of the offenses allegedly committed by Dr. Das.
