Viral video: Customers invite Zomato delivery man to join New Year celebrations; gesture earns praise

No matter what the world is grooving to or celebrating, food delivery drivers work round the clock to deliver what we crave. So, on special days, a kind gesture towards them can go a long way in making them feel happy. Well, that’s exactly what some revellers did to make a Zomato delivery agent smile on New Year’s eve.
A clip shared on Twitter shows the group of revellers asking their Zomato delivery agent to cut the New Year cake as fireworks are heart in the background.

The Twitter user Kishan Srivatsa also shared a few more lines to explain more about what is shown in the video.
“We ordered food at the last minute around 11:00 PM something in Zomato and it reached around exactly 12:00 AM so we celebrated the new year with the Zomato delivery partner,” Srivatsa tweeted.
The video opens to show the delivery partner holding a wooden knife in his hand and sporting a million-dollar smile. The rest of the video shows how he cuts a cake to welcome the newyear along with the customers. Towards the end of the video, he also feeds cake to those standing around him.
The video has now collected close to 10k views and the appreciation of Twitterers.
The wholesome gesture got a thumbs-up from Twitter, who appreciated the men for including the delivery guy in their celebrations. One user wrote, ”That’s really nice of you guys.” Another commented, ”Great job man.”
