In a bone-chilling incident on Sunday, a youth has been found hanging from his girlfriend’s dupatta in a hotel room in Khandagiri area. The incident has been reported from the Jagamara–Khandagiri area of Bhubaneswar.
The deceased youth, who has been identified as Durga Prasad Mishra, was a resident of Niali. According to reports, Durga had booked a room in the hotel to celebrate his birthday with his friends.
In the morning, the youth was found by his friends, hanging in the hotel room said reports on Sunday. The friends immediately informed the police. Family members suspect his other friends of calling him to the birthday party and killing him in a pre-planned manner.
The police are questioning Durga’s friends as the precise reason behind Durga’s death is yet to be ascertained.
The mobile of the deceased Durga Prasad Mishra will be analysed by the police to find any evidence regarding his alleged suicide. The family of the deceased has, however, brought murder charges.
