Zelenskyy Urges Russians To Protest Against Putin

Kyiv, March 6 : Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Sunday appealed to the Russian citizens to take to streets in protest against President Vladimir Putin’s invasion. Speaking in a televised address, he said, “Citizens of Russia – for you, this is a struggle not only for peace in Ukraine, this is a fight for your country. “If you keep silent now, only your poverty will speak for you later. And only repression will answer.” He further said that Russians like the Ukrainians face a a choice “between life and slavery”. Earlier, the President said the Russian forces were preparing to bombard Odessa city that lies on the country’s Black Sea coast. In a televised address, he said, “Rockets against Odessa? This will be a war crime.”
