Patna, Dec 18 : Bihar Finance Minister and senior JD(U) leader Vijay Kumar Chaudhary on Monday said Ram temple at Ayodhya can never become an election issue.
Chaudhary told media persons here that proposed inauguration of newly constructed Ram temple at Ayodhya in January could never become an election issue. It was certainly an issue of faith of all Hindus which should be respected, he added.
” Voting pattern in election is not an arithmetic calculation but it also depends on mood of the people”, JD(U) leader said adding BJP tried to misuse the religious sentiments of the people for their electoral advantage. Election should be contested on real issues of public interests, he felt.
Chaudhary said that Chief Minister Nitish Kumar had taken initiative to unite all opposition parties at national level to take on BJP unitedly. Kumar had suggested opposition parties in INDIA, to settle all issues including seat sharing which could be a vital point in fighting unitedly against BJP, he added.
