In an interesting act of expressing love, a youth in Odisha’s Bolangir district on Monday climbed a water tank and attempted suicide.
A young man climbed a water tank to make love and propose to his lover. He further threatened that he would commit suicide if the girl refused to say yes. Such high voltage drama of lovers has been seen in Devgaon of Balangir district. In Devgaon’s Kukharla village, a young man proposed a girl by climbing on a water tank.
Later, the youth opened the lid of the water tank and entered inside and locked it. Devgaon fire brigade personnel rescued him after being in the water tank for two hours. He was later taken to Devgaon Government Hospital. The rescued youth has been identified as Pintu Harpal. Devgaon police is probing the incident.
