Naveen sanctions Rs.30 lakhs for three DMD patients in Odisha

Bhubaneswar, June 23: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Friday sanctioned Rs 30 lakh from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund for treatment of three patients of Balasore district suffering from Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD).

Patnaik sanctioned Rs 10 lakh each to Kiran Kumar Mallik, Suraj Kumar Mallik (both of Khantapada area) and Bidyanshu Dixit of Simulia who were suffering from Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD).

The assistance was given as the treatment of DMD is very expensive.
