Nabarangpur: The body of a youth with his legs tied was found hanging from a tree near the Beheraguda Mondei ground here in Odisha on Thursday.
While the identity of the deceased is yet to be ascertained, it is suspected that the youth is a student of a local college.
As per reports, locals spotted the body this morning and informed the police who arrived at the spot and sent the body for post-mortem at the District Headquarters Hospital. The police have also launched a probe into the unnatural death to ascertain the reason behind the death and nab the culprits, if any.
Primafascie it appreas that the youth might have been killed by some unidentified miscreants and after committing the crime, they hanged the body on the tree to portray the death as a suicide, police officer said.
