Woman Among Two Electrocuted While Drying Clothes In Odisha’s Jajpur

In a tragic incident, a woman among two persons was electrocuted in Janindapal village under under Tomka police station limits in Odisha’s Jajpur district on Friday morning.

The victims have been identified as Neetu Marandi (32), head teacher at Raighati Government Primary School under Tangiriapal police limits in Keonjhar district, and Shamsundar Marandi (45) of Chakradharpur village of the same village.

According to reports, the incident took place when she placed wet clothes for drying on a GI wire near her house. Shamsundar rushed to help Neetu and was also electrocuted.

Following the incident, a pall of gloom descended on the village.
