UAE Gets Taste Of Millets Exported From Odisha
Bhubaneswar: Millets from Odisha have been exported to the UAE for the first time, according to a tweet from India’s Minister of Commerce & Industry, Piyush Goyal.
The Principal Secretary of the Odisha Department of Agriculture thanked the Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority for facilitating the export.

Odisha is leading the way in revolutionizing the millets industry in India and this export demonstrates the potential of these ancient grains as a sustainable and nutritious food source.
The state government is promoting the cultivation and consumption of millets through the efforts of Mission Shakti and the Odisha Millets Mission. The first consignment of millets was exported on January 25.
