OMFED milk price hike in Odisha from April 1, check revised rates
Odisha State Cooperative Milk Producers’ Federation (OMFED) has announced announced a hike in the prices of milk to be effective from April 1, 2023, so consumers will now have to pay more to buy milk.
The revised rate of OMFED milk has come into effect from today. The price of the milk has been increased by Rs 2 per litre.
The new rates will be effective from April 1.
A packet of 500 ml OMFED Toned Milk will rise from Rs 21 to Rs 23, Similarly, Premium Milk from Rs 24 to Rs 26, Gold Milk from Rs 24 to 26 and Chai Special Milk from Rs 23 to Rs 25.
A statement issued by the OMFED on Thursday read the increase in milk price is due to the rise in prices of various substances and supplies related to milk production. These include electricity tariff, packaging, transportation and fodder.
