Odisha: Woman killed as car rams into her house in Boudh

Boudh: A woman was killed after a car rammed into her house at Radhanagar village in Boudh district on Saturday night.

The deceased has been identified as Paneswari Dhal of the village.

According to reports, the incident occurred while Dhal was sleeping at her house when a  speeding car entered the house after its driver lost control of the steering wheel and skidded off the road on NH-57. The SUV was coming from Charichhak area. The driver of the SUV fled the spot soon after the accident.

Irked over the matter, locals blocked Khordha-Bolangir NH-57 for long hours seeking compensation and action against the concerned driver.

On being informed, the cops reached the spot and the agitation was lifted following a discussion with the protesters.
