Bhubaneswar, Aug 24 : The officials of Odisha Vigilance department on Thursday detected disproportionate assets worth crores of rupees from the possession of Rayagada Divisional Forest Officer (DFO).
Vigilance sources here said on the allegation of possession of disproportionate assets by Bijay Kumar Parida, DFO Rayagada Peripheral, simultaneous house searches are being conducted by Vigilance officials led by 8 DSPs, 6 Inspectors and other staff at 7 places in Rayagada, Khurdha, Cuttack and Jajpur districts.
Searches were made at the residential government quarter, his office, at Rayagada, Kalarahanga, Bhubaneswar, his relative’s house at Urali, Cuttack and various other places.
During searches one building with approximate valuation of Rs 1.8 crore, 1 triple storied building and one Flat in BBSR, 8 plots, cash Rs.1.24 Lakh along with other assets were unearthed.
The measurement and valuation of the flat, buildings, plots is being carried out by the Vigilance Technical Wing.
