Bhubaneswar, July 26: The sleuths of Odisha Vigilance on Wednesday unearthed disproportionate assets worth crores of rupees from the possession of an Assistant Engineer (General Public Health) Bhawanipatna section of Kalahandi district.
Vigilance sources here said, acting on the allegation of possession of disproportionate assets to his known sources of income by Assistant Engineer Kishore Chandra Sahu, the simultaneous house searches are being conducted by Vigilance officials at three places.
During the search, the Vigilance team has detected a one triple storied building with approximately valuation of Rs 1.10 Crore, 2 plots, Bank & Insurance deposits over Rs.1.03 Crore, Cash Rs.2.65 Lakhs, 235 gms of gold ornaments, along with other assets on properties linked to Kishore Chandra Sahu.
The measurement and valuation/assessment of the building/plots is being carried out by the Vigilance Technical wing and the searches are continuing.
