Bhubaneswar, Sep 13: Odisha Vigilance officials have unearthed disproportionate assets worth crores of rupees from the possession of an Assistant Engineer at Baripada in Mayurbhanj district.
Vigilance sources here said acting on the allegations of possession of disproportionate assets by Bansidhar Naik , an Assistant Engineer, PH Division Baripada simultaneous searches were made at five places in Mayurbhanj on Wednesday by a team of Vigilance department.
During the search operation the Vigilance officials have so far unearthed three multi storied buildings, 3 plots, deposits over Rs 33 Lakh, around 250 grams of gold jewellery, one four wheeler along with other assets in the name of Naik and his family members.
The measurement and valuation of the buildings/ plots is being carried out by the Vigilance Technical Wing, sources said.
