Odisha Health Minister Naba Das sustained bullet injuries as a person allegedly opened fire at him in Brajrajnagar of Jharsuguda district, today.
He was immediately rushed to a Hospital in Jharsuguda in a critical condition, sources said.
The incident took place near Gandhi Chhak here when he alighted from car to attend a programme and his supporters were garlanding him.
Sources said that unidentified miscreants opened fired at Naba Das after he stepped out of his vehicle. The exact reason behind the firing is still unclear.
Three persons were reportedly involved in the attack. Further details are awaited
