Odisha: Cong workers protest suspension of two-party leaders by AICC

Bhubaneswar, July 21: Hundreds of workers of Congress Party on Friday held a demonstration in front of the Party’s state Headquarter office here demanding immediate revocation of suspension order on two senior party leaders.

Barabati-Cuttack sitting MLA Mohammad Moquim and senior party leader and former MLA Chiranjib Biswal were suspended from the party on July 15 last on the grounds of anti party activities.

Opposing the suspension, the party workers believed to be supporters of Moquim and Biswal held demonstrations in front of the party office on Friday, a day before the party’s Executive Committee meeting to be held here on Saturday.

Describing the suspension of the two leaders as “undemocratic and unjustified”,they demanded the AICC to revoke the suspension order forthwith.
