Now, Puri Schoolteacher caught red-handed selling textbooks

Puri, April 27: In a bizarre incident, a few days after a cluster aid centre coordinator (CRCC) in Khordha district used to be suspended for allegedly promoting college textbooks as scrap, a comparable incident has come to the fore in Puri district.

a government schoolteacher from Upper Primary (UP) school under Brahmagiri block in Puri district was caught red-handed by villagers while selling government textbooks.

The teacher has been identified as Basudev Swain.

According to sources, Basudev was engaged in selling new stocks of government books in exchange for money for a long time.

As per reports, the faculty had a stockpile of textbooks in all the topics for college students from Class I to VIII. However, Swain was once caught by means of the villagers whilst he used to be allegedly promoting textbooks in the course of the summer time vacation.

Today, while Basudev was selling a huge quantity of textbooks after stealing it from the school, the villagers caught him red-handed. Later, the villagers complained against Basudev in front of the Block Education Officer (BEO).
