Facing opposition from their families to their marriage, two young lovers committed suicide one after another in two days in Jajpur district of Odisha.
According to sources, the boy and the girl were in love with each other. But their families and others were opposed to their relationship. On Sunday the boy ended his life. On Monday, the girl also committed suicide.
This shocking incident took place in Kaimatia village under the Bari police station of Jajpur district. The deceased boy was Prabhat Kumar Lenka of the village. On Monday morning, the girl loving him was also found to have committed suicide.
Police seized both bodies and sent them for autpsy.
A case of unnatural death has been registered and further investigation is on.
