Balasore: In a shocking incident, a man allegedly thrashed his wife to death over a family dispute at Paikapda village under Upada police limits in Soro of Balasore district.
The deceased was identified as Sarmila Singh, while the accused husband has been identified as Ramchandra Singh.
According to reports, an altercation ensued between the duo over some issues. Later the altercation turned ugly after Ramchandra thrashed his wife with a stick repeatedly killing her on the spot.
The locals got to know the incident and immediately informed the police about it.
On being informed, police reached the spot, recovered the body, and sent it for autopsy. The cops also detained Ramchandra and initiated an investigation into the matter.
