Bhubaneswar: During a quarrel over past enmity, a man allegedly killed his friend by stabbing him to death here in Odisha on Tuesday night.
The deceased identified as Ashok Sethi and the assailant Jagannath Dhibara were working as drivers of vehicles engaged in sanitation work in the capital city. They and two others had their dinner together on Tuesday night. Later an altercation started between the ashok and Jagannath. In a rage, Jagannath attacked Ashok Sethi with an iron rod and plastic pipe. Seriously injured Ashok died on the spot.
The Khandagiri police has reached the spot and is investigating into the matter. The body has been seized by the police and sent for postmortem to Capital Hospital.
The cause of the murder was not known immediately.
